Sir G

Sir Graham Latimer

Sir Graham is widely regarded as the elder statesman of Maoridom. He led the Maori Council in its most controversial period - the 80s - when it took on the Labour Government over the sale of State-owned assets and won. This led to the establishment of the Crown Forestry Rental Trust which he currently chairs.

Successive governments for over 30 years have called upon his counsel on Maori issues.
