The Kaiwaka Housing Development was completed in March 2010.. The Development consists of eight houses of which five are rental properties that have Te Uri o Hau beneficiaries as tenants. The rental properties are lease backs to Housing New Zealand Corporation which makes them the landlords of the tenants.
