Oturei maare is located just south of the small rural township of Dargaville. The marae facility boasts a relatively new and modern kitchen facility accompanied by a superb dining area or the wharekai. Available also is a well resourced ablution block including special facilities to accommodate the disabled.
The wharenui (meeting house) is the focal point of the complex and situated next door is a building that can double as a conference facility and/or additional sleeping space.
The marae is availalbe to the wider community and equipped to provide for your typical core maori services. Because of its functionality it is also greatly utilised by service groups and other community organisations from throughout the Tai Tokerau region.
Manuhiri (visitors) will always be made welcome when they visit the Oturei marae. In fact we pride ourselves on our aroha (love) and manaaki (hospitality)
