Russell Kemp
Tena Koutou Katoa, I was born in Kaiwaka and was schooled here and Maungaturoto. My grandparents on both sides worked all their lives on and for Otamatea marae. I followed in their footsteps and while it has been hard work at times for me and my family, I have no regrets.
I have coached rugby at local, district and regional level for the last 17 years or so. My wife, Barbara and I own and run a hotel and we have several investment properties.
Objectives;
- Complete the Mangawhai and Pouto projects to provide for Te Uri o Hau into the future
- Improve current cash flow and grow our assets and income
- Build Te Uri o Hau relationships with external partners and government
- Protect the Kaipara harbour and preserve the mana and manawhenua of Otamatea and Te Uri o Hau
